I’m a color girl.  That’s why these fun 8″ wall sconces drew my eye immediately!  A Shades of Light exclusive design, these fun fixtures would be great alone as a pop of color, or in a grouping.   They work on the wall, on the ceiling…hey!  Put them on a table! Actually, it would be pretty neat if they came in different sizes to make a neat art arrangement, but whatever…

Can you think of a place that could use a pop of bright color?

There’s a baby boom going on here!  Everywhere it’s babies, babies, babies!  I got the pleasure of putting together an eDECORATING Plan for a nursery recently and it was so much fun.

The challenge:  the parents wanted a room that was not gender specific (they weren’t finding out the gender until birth) and a room that could grow with the child and any subsequent siblings.

The results: a fun, vibrant room that is suitable for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and up!

We chose a dark charcoal wall color (gasp!  I think the grandparents were a little hesitant on that…) and accented the room with bright colors like teal, canary yellow & fire engine red, black & white graphics, and whimsical prints.  The closet is covered in chalkboard paint and offered hand-written welcomes to the new baby (who is by far the best accessory to the room!)

What is the best thing about getting an eDECORATING for your nursery?  It’s a great way to generate a list of gifts for your registry!  Plus, you don’t have to think about planning the room and concentrate on growing babies.  Let your friends and family take the plan and run with it and still ensure that your vision is accomplished.  It’s a win-win!

Congratulations to my clients and their new, precious bundle of joy!
