The homeowners wanted to bring their love of sailing to their Midwestern home. This was achieved through influences of color and texture, rather than literal interpretations of a coastal design.

Custom slipper chairs in a sunny yellow lattice pattern grace the ends of a family heirloom dining table set. An over-scale lattice-patterned rug keep the room from being too formal and give a little contemporary vibe to the space.

Teal-colored faux grasscloth wallpaper gives texture and dimension to the room.

The custom window drapery panels feature embroidered satin over a luxurious, silky taupe puddle.

A driftwood sculpture rounds out this coastal dining room.
